WHY ME?

I have been following your work at PHMG for a little while now, and I really admire what you do, sound is such a powerful asset for brands that is often overlooked I think, but sound & music have the power to completely transform a brand aesthetic and build a sonic world that encapsulates and defines a product. It’s an area that genuinely fascinates me, and to have the opportunity to become an integral part of that creative process, a part of crafting and carving these audio environments that establish brands and establish virtual atmospheres would be such a fantastic opportunity.

As a highly experienced musician of almost a decade engaged in the music scene across genres, from electronic music to cinematic production music and commercial libraries, I have a fluent understanding and familiarity with the landscape of music across mediums and across disciplines. With direct experience working with music to media for multiple years, landing projects with brands like Sky Studios and Paramount Plus, I have first-hand, in-depth knowledge of creating music to a brief, translating written briefs into creative ideas and working with conceptual writing and rationale to back up the product through my experience at Master’s degree level in a conceptually based field.

I have experience with dozens of projects on which I have worked as the creative producer, with a handful of large-scale commercial products as executive producer, overseeing the creative audio production of small teams and managing the project from briefings with the directors, through the production and composition process, and to final delivery, experienced both as a project manager and as a part of a creative team. Working in these varying capacities, across disciplines, across genres and across scales of production, I am familiar with a vast range of music styles, with an eclectic taste and a diverse knowledge of popular music. Embedded in the world of electronic, experimental, and cinematic music as a practitioner while being engaged in world music, hip-hop and pop as a music lover for almost a decade, I have developed a strong ability to curate a vibe or energy through the power of music, harnessing the expressive power and narrative capability that music holds.

As a problem-solver and quick learner, I am highly fluent at learning new systems and workflows very quickly, and can adapt seamlessly, so wherever my knowledge or experience may lack slightly in some areas, my motivation, dedication, and work ethic will allow me to get the job done smoothly and efficiently.

 

ABOUT ME

I am a Multimedia Composer and Contemporary Music Producer with a master’s degree with a Distinction in Sound Arts from the University of Arts London and a bachelor’s degree with a first-class honour from dBs Music Bristol.

With almost a decade of experience, I bring a unique and signature approach to sound, working at the cutting edge of innovation across disciplines. As an interdisciplinary sound & media artist, I create multimedia compositions, experimental audio-visual & installation work, and immersive sound works, crafting bold & unique worlds at the intersection of science, technology & media with an innovative creative approach. I write original musical scores for award-winning short films & trailers plus media & advertising projects, and release electronic music as Know You, with a catalogue totalling almost 400,000 streams, collaborations with brands like the London College of Fashion and Sky Studios, and work featured at London Fashion Week and global film festivals. I have an advanced ability to shape sound and translate creative ideas into powerful sonic narratives, with years of experience translating written briefs & creative concepts into music, using sonic tools to build immersive sound worlds that create a narrative and tell a story. Creating bespoke music production & compositions for advertising, narrative film and a wide range of custom multimedia projects across disciplines & musical styles, I have a highly advanced set of professional digital audio crafting skills, able to capture mood, emotion and aesthetics through the power of music that are both unique and accessible, fluent navigating Ableton Live and familiar with Logic Pro. Along with my highly advanced digital audio skills and diverse skillset across disciplines, I bring a relentless drive and dedication to my craft, with a burning passion for innovation at the cutting edge of sound & media. 

With plenty of cross-disciplinary collaboration experience, I have fantastic interpersonal & communication skills, with a highly professional set of administrative knowledge & IT skills developed over almost a decade of running and managing my own brands, and dozens of both independent & collaborative projects. I love the process of working as part of a team, bouncing off other creatives and picking up new skills to develop my craft, working both autonomously & collaboratively, and working flexibly across disciplines, always eager to get stuck into a project and push myself creatively.

My experience over the years has contributed to a unique sense of creative, conceptual, and strategic thinking. I am highly organised, and detail-orientated, I’m certainly a perfectionist with my work, but I am very good at working under pressure and working with tight deadlines without sacrificing content. Able to learn extremely quickly, I approach everything with an eagerness to learn new tools and develop my craft. I am a highly adaptable & flexible creative with diverse and interchangeable skillset across mediums, bringing a relentless drive and dedication to my craft, with a burning passion for innovation at the cutting edge of sound & media.
