WHY ME?

I am an Award-Nominated Composer and Contemporary Music Producer with a master’s degree with a Distinction in Sound Arts from the University of Arts London and a bachelor’s degree with a first-class honour from dBs Music Bristol, with almost a decade of experience creating music, and almost 5 years of industry experience working professionally as a freelance Composer, Music Producer and Multimedia Sound Artist across Film, Advertising, Media, Digital Social Content, Art and Installation, from bespoke compositions for trailers & commercials to original film scores & experimental audiovisual installations. 

I have been following your work at Zelig for a while now, and what I admire about your work, and where I believe I have a lot to contribute as a Composer and a creative, is your focus on conceptual sound, moving beyond simply ‘nice’ music and expanding your practice to build worlds and carve sonic environments through the use of music & sound. I love projects like the Bang & Olufsen Beosound Theatre film that embed the haunting musical textures & cerebral drones into that world, where it becomes a part of the wider brand identity and product concept, or the mysterious fluttering synths and meticulous sound design of the Adidas Don 4h film that establish the modern, digital aesthetics of the project and immerses the sound within that world. This is something I have always kept at the very core of my own practice, where my work shifts the focus to what the music is doing for the concept of the project, and this is where I thrive as a creative, working within the conceptual space at the intersection of art & music, thinking creatively and conceptually to build sonic worlds that create an experience. For example, with my audiovisual installation for my final MA project, Sky Father, Earth Mother, every composition stemmed from a creative dissection of our relationship with the planets, and every sound in the 20-minute multichannel installation had a purpose towards the concept, taking my technical capabilities to a new level and creating a story, building a world that engulfs you and creates an experience. It becomes more than just listening to music, music becomes a part of you in that moment.

I love music. I love creating music that has the power to move people, the power to create a lasting experience. This is what I strive for every day when I sit down to create, and I believe you hold the same values at Zelig. What I bring to the table, and what is unique to me, are my bold creative approach, sonic world-building and highly conceptually-led thinking. But more than anything, it is my passion. My pure passion for music and for creation. My passion for innovation and reinvention. My passion for stepping outside the norm and thinking outside the box while retaining accessibility. I am a storyteller at heart, music just happens to be my medium. My practice comes down to telling stories and creating experiences, and this is what I believe I offer as a creative.

As an interdisciplinary sound & media artist, I bring a unique and signature approach to sound, working at the cutting edge of innovation across disciplines, I create multimedia compositions, immersive audio-visual & installation work, and experimental sound works, crafting bold & unique worlds at the intersection of science, technology & media with an innovative creative approach. I write original musical scores for award-winning short films & trailers plus media & advertising projects, and release electronic music as Know You, with a catalogue totalling almost 400,000 streams, collaborations with brands like the London College of Fashion and Sky Studios, and work featured at London Fashion Week and global film festivals. I have an advanced ability to meticulously shape sound and translate creative ideas into powerful sonic narratives, with years of experience translating written briefs & creative concepts into music, using sonic tools to build immersive sound worlds that create a narrative and tell a story. Creating bespoke music production & compositions for advertising, narrative film and a wide range of custom multimedia projects across disciplines & musical styles. I have a highly advanced set of professional digital audio crafting skills, able to capture mood, emotion and aesthetics through the power of music that are both unique and accessible, fluent navigating Ableton Live and familiar with Logic, but above all, I am a very quick learner when it comes to Digital Audio Workstations and audio software. Along with my highly advanced digital audio skills and diverse skillset across disciplines, I bring a relentless drive and dedication to my craft, with a burning passion for innovation at the cutting edge of sound & media. 

As a multi-faceted and multi-disciplinary Creative, I have been immersed in the creative world for almost a decade, working across disciplines and collaborating across mediums, during that time I have amassed a vast, diverse & interchangeable skillset with a dedicated work ethic and the ability to learn new skills & tools extremely quickly and adapt to new disciplines with fluidity. I have experience with dozens of projects on which I have worked as the creative producer, with a handful of large-scale commercial products as executive producer, overseeing the creative production of small teams and managing the project from briefings with the directors, through the production and composition process, and to final delivery, experienced both as a project manager and as a part of a creative team and comfortable balancing multiple ongoing projects while meeting tight deadlines and prioritising appropriately. As a multimedia video & sound artist with years of experience creating artworks, brand strategies, curatorial & tastemaker projects, and creative content across a diverse range of mediums & platforms, I have been immersed in the creative world for almost a decade, working and collaborating across disciplines. This, combined with my years and years of managing creative projects and brands, has given me a keen eye for consistent brand image and creative content strategy, from ideation to content creation and execution. I have been conceptualizing and implementing creative campaigns & strategies across platforms and media formats for almost a decade, with years of experience creating both written & visual content, collaborating alongside a wide range of creatives and working with other artists and brands.
